Hello, my name is Raquel.

I’m a New York City native, living and working in New York's Hudson Valley. After growing up in Manhattan, attending College in Los Angeles and spending my young adult years back in New York City, I made the move north to the beautiful Hudson Valley.

Trading in the hustle and bustle of the city for a slower pace of life was not an easy choice but one that was right for this point in my life. That aside, the Hudson Valley is just a hop, skip and a jump North making frequent visits a possibility.

The Hudson Valley region covers over 7,000 square miles spanning from Yonkers all the way up to Albany. This large area is home to amazing restaurants, bars, museums, outdoor sports, colleges and so much more. 

I am fortunate enough to work from home allowing me to enjoy the beauty that this region has to offer. After spending my free time eating, drinking and exploring this region, I decided I wanted to share some of my favorites and Hudson Valley Insider was born. I hope you enjoy my choices and accompanying anecdotes.
